The PowerScan 9600 DPX series addresses Direct Part Marking (DPM) applications where codes are directly marked on the items for traceability with different marking technologies such as laser etching, dot peening, inkjet printing and electrochemical etching. The Datalogic patented 4D learning system automatically sets up the best acquisition parameters and decoding algorithms, without the need to configure the scanner for every different application.
Direct Part Marking (DPM) is a process that allows users to imprint a bar code directly on an item instead of printing the code on a paper label. Different technologies are available to directly mark objects: laser / chemical etching, dot peening and ink jet printing. Each of these methods has specific advantages and disadvantages in terms of durability, cost and ease of reading.

PowerScan 9531 AR imager implements an innovative area imaging technology with a powerful auto focus system that is capable of reading any type of 1D/2D codes at any resolution starting from 3 mils for linear codes and 4 mils for 2D codes. The PowerScan 9531 AR imager can read from a short distance of 15 cm / 6 into a distance of more than 20 m / 65 ft with a fast focus adjustment.
The FBC9080 Fieldbus Converter is a compact-size industrial gateway allowing the connection of devices equipped with a standard RS-232 communication interface into PROFINET IO and EtherNet/IP networks. With the FBC9080 converter, Datalogic’s handheld scanners add industrial Fieldbus connectivity support to the most common PLC. The Fieldbus converter supports fast communication speeds, making it suitable for high-end industrial devices.
